My name is Morgan Lane Bennett and…
I use hypnosis to help intelligent motivated people get out of their own way so they can step into their power and live up to their potential.
I think of myself as a deprogrammer and a re-educator. I will teach you to learn the lessons that will give you the most out of life.
I serve as a mirror in which you can see your blind spots. I will reframe your worldview by showing you the bigger picture. (And you can’t unsee the bigger picture!) From an objective perspective I will help you cleanse the lens through which you perceive your life.
I will guide you from apathy to your path. Together we will turn your procrastination into motivation, and I will be there to support you and hold you accountable along the way.
I love my job! I help people with modern problems find timeless solutions. I show those who take care of business how to take care of themselves. I reignite the burnt out and help the stressed find rest. I am truly honored to open hearts and free minds for a living.
I was fortunate to be able to travel the world from 1994 to 2000 as a male model. During this time I read voraciously. I delved deeply into metaphysics, quantum physics, philosophy, Zen, Psychedelics and Neurolinguistic programming.
In 1996 I wrote and began performing a one-man show called Savior Self. It is about saving the world by taking responsibility for your own soul. It includes a hero, a bad guy, a heroine, and a computer that becomes self-aware and threatens to detonate every nuclear bomb at once unless it gets an apology… from God. You can check it out here. www.saviorself.com
After 9-11 I decided to stop traveling and settle down in my hometown of Los Angeles. I started working the front desk at my friend’s gym on the 3rd Street Promenade. Eventually I realized that I could be a great personal trainer and so I was certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2003. I specialized in a wide variety of personalized training styles including weight loss, muscle gain, functional training, core strengthening, and corrective exercises.
In 2005 I received a diploma from the Shiatsu Massage School of California. This experience in the world of bodywork gave me a deeply holistic perspective of the marvel that is the human body. I also learned about how unresolved emotions can be stored in the body. When I was offered a job teaching anatomy at the school it was an honor that I quickly accepted. Among other things my time at SMSC allowed me to include postural integration to my list of specialties.
In 2012 I became a certified master-practitioner of NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) and it revolutionized the way I do my work. The mind and the body are really one unit, the mindbody, (just as space and time are really spacetime), and in order to change your behavior you must also change your mind. NLP is a very powerful tool that can elicit major life changes very quickly by simply changing the way you think about the way you think. In 2016 I became certified as a Trainer of NLP.
In 2012 I was also certified as a master-practitioner of Hypnotherapy by the Association for Integrative Psychology. It was then that I realized that everything I have done my whole career fell under the category of hypnosis. As a poet I used my words to make people think. As a personal trainer I used my words to motivate people and help them have a positive self-image. As a masseuse I helped people to get out of pain by getting back in touch with their body. As a Trainer of NLP I help people let go of the past and create the life of their dreams. And as a hypnotist I use all of the above to do all of the above and more.
On a personal level, I am an avid gardener. I have a big beautiful garden where I grow lots of flowers and vegetables. I also raise Monarch butterflies. I nurture them from tiny caterpillars that I find in my garden. I help them to make it safely through their mysterious metamorphosis and beyond. (This has been such a powerful living metaphor for my work.) I am also a juggler and a flow artist. Oh, and I have a cat named Miles whom I have trained to use the toilet. He’s a good boy.
I love my life and I love my job. One of my favorite things in the world is to have a client tell me after a session, “WOW! I feel so much better.” As far as I’m concerned it’s an honor and a pleasure to be able to wake up everyday and help be who they want to be.
I have been passionate about helping people live better, more fulfilling lives ever since I first started writing and performing poetry in 1993. Here is an example of my first internationally published work. I wrote it when I was 19.
You can know no one.
You can go nowhere.
You can see nothing.
Without a gift
You have nothing to give.
Without a dream
You have nothing to live.
Without a path
You have nowhere to go.
Without a self
You have nothing to show.
Without a task
There is nothing to do.
There is nothing but you.
Focus or fail.
Truth or lie.
Love or hate.
Think or die.
Yes or no.
Believe or doubt.
There are two ways to go
With or without…
(As true today as it was back then if I do say so myself)
